VanVleck, widow of Laverne VanVleck passed away very suddenly at her home on North Dexter street last evening at 10:45, the cause of the death being heart trouble. Mrs. VanVleck and son had been down town to supper and had spent the evening at home with friends. Her son, Rector, had gone upstairs, and Mrs. VanVleck, who slept downstairs was also preparing for bed when she was taken with one of the heart attacks. Her son heard her and came downstairs and tried to give her first aid, then as soon as possible called one of the neighbors who came immediately but within five minutes she had passed away. She leaves one son, Rector, and three brothers, Roy, Floyd and Arthur Longwell. The funeral will be held from the residence on North Dexter street Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. M. H. Garrard officiating; interment in Palo cemetery beside her husband, who died a few years ago. Mrs. VanVleck's father, N. Longwell, dropped dead from heart disease a few years ago and the death of her husband after a brief illness with pneumonia was very unexpected.
