Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Sat., Nov. 25, 1944
Mrs. Stella May VanVleck, 73, died early Saturday morning in her home near 
Palo where she had resided most of her life.  She had been in ill health for 
several months - since the deaath of her husband, Cassius VanVleck.

She was born December 18, 1870 in Bushnell township, Montcalm county and had 
lived all her life in the vicinity of Palo.  She was married to Cassius 
VanVleck January 27, 1888.

Surviving her is a duaghter, Mrs. Edward A. Mueller of Los Angeles, Calif.; 
two sons, Frank VanVleck of Orleans and Peter VanVleck of Palo; a step-
daughter, Mrs. Julia Hargraves, of Palo; three grandchildren and one great-
grandchild.

A prayer service will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the 
residence and services at 3 o'clock at the Palo Methodist church.  The Rev. 
Lewis Herrick will officiate and burial will be in Palo cemetery.

The body will be taken from the Stebbins funeral home at Sheridan to repose at 
the residence.
