Ionia Daily Sentinel – Mon. Jan. 6, 1913

The funeral for Mrs. Marie Van Vleck who died at her home north of Palo will be 
held from the house at 10:30 Tuesday morning. Mrs. Van Vleck was the widow of 
the late Peter Van Vleck and was one of the pioneer residents of Ronald. She 
had lived near her late home and in it for over 60 years having moved there 
from Orleans when 17 years of age. She was 81 at the time of her death. She was 
born in Ohio and came to Orleans when three years of age.
