Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Sep 1984

Frank VanVleck, 95, formerly of 132 Cleveland, Ionia, died Tuesday morning at
Belding Community Hospital.  He was born July 11, 1889, in Palo, the son of
Cassius and Stella Dodson VanVleck.  He was married to Elsie Lane.  She preceded
him in death July 25, 1969.  He was the former owner/operator of a store at Long
Lake.  He was a former member of the Hunting and Fishing Club of Ionia.

Surviving are one sister-in-law, Alta VanVleck of Ionia; several nieces and
nephews.  He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Roetman Funeral Home, with
the Rev. John Sorenson officiating.  Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.  The
family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m.
