       Dale Eugene Van Vorst

Died November 3, 2023 of Ionia
Born January 10, 1945 in Colon,Michigan, son of Leslie Frederick & Mary 
Elizabeth (Mosby)Van Vorst.
Dale went to Colon High School where he played Football & was named to Colon 
Hall of Fame.
Attended Western Michigan University, receiving his Bachelor's degree in 
business.
Married to Laurel"Laurie"(Revitte) on July 24, 1971, in Kalamazoo.
Dale & Laurie met in marriage class at  Western Michigan University.
Their marriage lasted for 50 years before Laurie's death on November 9, 2020.
Dale lived in Ionia over 50 years.
He enjoyed farming & also worked for Farm Credit Services & a Real Estate 
Appraiser.
Dale loved tractor pulls, hunting, cutting wood & working around the family 
farm.
Is survived by his sons, Nick VanVorst & Neil Van Vorst & his favorite 
cat,Shadow.
Preceded in death by his parents, & his wife,Laurie.
Funeral service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Lake Funeral 
Home, Ionia.
Visitation Tuesday from 4-7 PM & one hour prior to service.
Family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Ionia 
County Animal Shelter  in Dale's memory.
