The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Thursday, August 6, 1942
Mike Vargo, Sr., 56, died early this morning at his home at 116 High street.  
He was born in Hungary, August 24, 1885, and has been a worker at the 
Ypsilanti Reed for many years.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, and children, Mrs. Alice Nagy of Flint, 
Mrs. Helen Andres of Ionia, Steven, of Muskegon and Mike, Jr., Elizabeth, John 
and Joe, of Ionia, Mrs. Anna Beck of Ionia.

Funeral services will be held from the Bradley funeral home Saturday afternoon 
with interment in Balcom cemetery.
