JOHN S. VARGO NOV.17, 2016
John S. Vargo Jr., age 73, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Thursday, 
Nov. 17, 2016 at his home with his wife at his side. He served his country 
during the Cuban Missel Crisis in the U.S.Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Cherry Vargo; son Kurt; 
and brother, Ed. He retired from General Motors after 30 years at Plant #2 on 
Alpine Ave. 

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda; daughter, Lisa and Steve Brewer; 
stepchildren, Georgia and Terry Parmeter, Georjean and Pat Morgan, Terry and 
Cindy Stickel; nine grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pam Vargo; several nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 11 AM at the Funeral Home 
with Rev. Dan VanBelzen officiating. Interment in Fairplains cemetery, Sparta. 
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Friends of the Michigan
