Frances Abbott Varilek, 83, of Edmore, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at
her home.  She was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Ionia, the daughter of Robert and
Martha White.

She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Lori, Lisa, Traci; son, Duane;
daughter, Charlene; parents, Robert and Martha White; first husband, Virgil
Abbott; second husband, Steve Varilek; brothers, Leo, Pirl, Sam, Chuck, Jim; and
sisters, Lavina, Mary, Mabel, Laura.

Frances is survived by her children, Edward Abbott of Grayslake, Ill., Carolyn
Corwin of Edmore; sister, Bertha Bennett; 11 grandchildren, three
great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Stebbins-McCullough Chapel, Edmore,
with Mr. Gilbert Morris officiating.  Interment is in Vinewood Cemetery, Edmore.
 The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Friday at the chapel.  If so desired, memorials may be directed to Hospice of
Michigan, Big Rapids.
