Vaughn, 81, of Greenville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at Spectrum Health United Memorial Long Term Care, Greenville. He was born July 27, 1924, in Belding, the son of George and Ida Salyer Vaughn. Earl married Virginia Shinabarger on Dec. 25, 1948, in Carson City. Earl was a life member of Lester J. Sitts VFW Post in Sheridan. He served in World War II in France, Rhineland and Central Europe, building bridges over the Rhine River. For more than 30 years, Earl and Virginia loved camping in the Upper Peninsula and fishing the Two Heart River on Lake Superior. He loved his family dearly and was happiest when he was teasing them. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ralph, Alvin, Herbert, Martin and Russell “Doc”; sisters, Thelma, Mildred and Frances; mother-in-law and father-in-law, John and Susan Shinabarger; and brother-in-law, Homer Shinabarger. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; sons, Ronald Vaughn of Greenville, Roger and Joy Vaughn of Sheridan, Michael Vaughn of Stanton; daughters, Suzanne Clark, Sheila Vaughn, both of Greenville, grandchildren, Kimberly Adams of Virginia, Ronald and Trisha Vaughn of Lakeview, Danielle England of Goetzville, Steve Guernsey III of Sheridan, Daron and Audrina Guernsey of Saranac, BJ and Jennifer Hunt of Sheridan, Eric Vaughn and girlfriend, Roxie, of Stanton, Trever and Marisa Clark, Cortne Clark, Gentre Clark, both of Greenville; 24 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in-law, KC and Marguerite Smith of Sumner, Harry and Bonnie Cadwell of Crystal, Clara Dennis of Mount Pleasant; many nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Fred and Audrey Williams of Orleans. In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation services. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Greenville.
