He was born in Canada, August 21, 1865 and came to Michigan when at the age of six months, with his parents, Lorenzo and Mary Ransom Vaughn. He was a member of the Free Methodist church in Saranac and for a number of years as long as his health permitted, was sexton of the Saranac cemetery. He came to Saranac from Lowell 18 years ago. He is survived by his widow; one son, Ferdinand of Detroit; two brothers, Orville of Sparta and Perry of Alberta, Canada; four sisters, Mrs. R. Folkerson of California, Mrs. Norm Whitney of Casnovia, and Mrs. Cora Meek and Mrs. Nettie Numa of Baily. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Tuesday at the Free Methodist church in Saranac. Burial will be at the Saranac cemetery.
