Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday August 11, 1955

ROBERT VEITCH DIED SATURDAY
Robert Veitch, 73, passed away Saturday at his home at 190 Maple St., Freeport, 
after a four years illness.

A native of Clarksburg, Ontario, Canada, he has been a resident of Lake Odessa 
for 28 years and operated a harness shop while here. He spent a year at Rome. 
N.Y before returning to this area and locating at Freeport where he had lived 
for the last nine years. He was also a former employee of the E.W. Bliss Co. at 
Hastings.

He had been a member of the St. George Episcopal Church at Clarksburg.

Surviving are his wife, Mona, two daughters, Mrs.Evelyn Pierce of Lake Odessa 
and Mrs.Virginia Copeland of Grand Rapids; one son, Harold of Lake Odessa; five 
brothers, Joe of Indiana,Pa., Herb of Long Beach, Calif., Fred of Coral Gables,, 
Fla., Tom and Harold of Canada and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 at Freeport at the Winchester Funeral 
Home, with burial in Lakeside cemetery. The Rev. Ralph Tweety, pastor of the 
Methodist Church, Freeport, officiated.
