Anthony Richard Velasquez, age 8, of Ionia passed away October 12, 2004.  He 
was born November 3, 1995 the precious son of Richard Velasquez Jr. and Valerie 
Stiles.

He is survived by his parents Valerie Stiles of Ionia and Richard and Melanie 
Velasquez of Ionia; brother Jacob Shellenbarger of Ionia; sisters Makayla Boss, 
Ryleigh Boss, Graycie Velasquez and Faith Stiles, all of Ionia; grandparents 
Rachel and Richard Comer of Ionia; Richard and Judy Velasquez of Muir, Clare 
and Sandy Randall of Mecosta, Arthur and Paula Prater of Orleans, and Dale and 
Carol Stiles of Muir; great-grandparents; Leone Jeffery of Ionia and Delores 
and Arthur Velasquez of Ionia; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and 
uncles.  He was preceded in death by great uncle Vince Velasquez and great aunt 
Christina Velasquez.

Funeral services for Anthony are 11 a.m. Friday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment Balcom Cemetery.  The family 
will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 
Thursday.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to the families 
wishes.
