ARTHURO VELASQUEZ, 92
Arthuro Velasquez aged 92 of Ionia passed away October 28, 2018. He was born October
18, 1926 in Loveland, Colorado the son of Fedencio and Isebella (Castro) Velasaquez.
He married the love of his life Maria D. Hernandez in 1947, she preceded him in death
in 2014.M

Arthuro was a hard working man, he worked for Mitchell Bentley, Ringer construction,
Ardens Sewing shop and later years for the city of Ionia. He owned Arts Body Shop in
Ionia for many years. Arturo Served his country during WW II in the Army.

Surviving are his children; Erma Terry of Six Lakes, Arthur Velasquez of Ionia,
Richard Velasquez of Muir, Virginia Raddatz of Stanton and Sandra (Thomas) Lake of Ionia. 
Fourteen grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Maria, daughter Christina Velasquez,
son Felix Velasquez, brothers Joe and Raymond, sister Esperanzo "Hope", granddaughters 
Nicole Lake and J. C. Velasquez and great-grandson Anthony  Velasquez.

Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 1918, at SS.
Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ionia with father Oscar Londono presiding. Visitation will
be at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:30 . Online
