Woodland Resident Dies In Grand Rapids

Charles Velte, 83, a farmer who lived all his life in Woodland township, died 
Wednesday, December 8 at the Grand Rapids Osteopathic hospital. He attended the 
Methodist church and was a member of the K&P lodge.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cora Klahn of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Gertrude 
Reuther and Miss Roma Velte, two sons, William and Lawrence; one sister, Miss 
Emma Velte; all of Woodland; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 at the residence with burial in 
Woodland Memorial cemetery.
