Mrs.Grace Velte Passes Away

Mrs. Grace Velte, 81, former local resident, passed away Sunday evening at a 
Saginaw hospital after an extended illness. She had resided at Grand Rapids and 
Saginaw after leaving here fifteen years ago.

Mrs. Velte, widow of Samuel Velte cashier of the Farmers and Merchant Bank, was 
a member of the Lake Odessa Methodist Church. Mr.Velte passed away in 1936.

Mrs.Velte, a native of the Clarksville area resided in the local community until 
moving to Grand Rapids about fifteen years ago later moved to Saginaw.

Surviving are two brothers, Con Sullivan of Fort Myer, Fla. and William of Wood, 
Wisc.,two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Mildred) Brayton of Columbus, O. and Mrs Louise 
Birman of Salt Lake, Utah and eleven nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with 
burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Luther Brokaw officiated.
