Mabel E. Velte Dies at Hospital.

Mrs. Mabel E. Velte, 76, of 5225 Velte Rd., Woodland, passed away Tuesday noon at 
Pennock Hospital, Hastings, where she was hospitalized a week.

She was born Sept. 18, 1897 in Ionia county, the daughter of George and Louise 
(Griebel) Schneider and was a lifelong resident of the local area.

A graduate of Lake Odessa high school with the class of 1915, she was a member of 
the Woodland United Methodist church, the Lois Circle of the church, and the 
Woodland Womans Study Club.

She married William Velte of Woodland June 26, 1921 at Petoskey and had resided 
on the farm on Velte Rd. for many years. Mr. Velte passed away March 18, 1971.

No immediate survivors, only nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Velte reposes at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, where 
services will be held Friday at 1:30. Rev. Richard Erickson and Rev. Marvin 
Zimmerman will officiate with burial in Woodland Memorial Park.
