Funeral services were held from the First Baptist church Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. George Woolcock officiating. Interment was at Palo cemetery. Bearers were Ormison Hilborn, E.W. Krainbrink, Mer Ross, Hiram Darling, Herbert Powell, Ray Ourtiss, Harvey DeHart and Claude Brockway. Floral arrangements were in charge of Mrs. E.W. Krainbrink and Mrs. Hiram Darling. Miss Ethel Crispin was the organist. Members of the CCW class of the church attended the service in a group. Out of town residents attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kenny and family of Saginaw, Mr. and Mrs. Charles VanVleck of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Peter VanVleck of Palo, Mr. and Mrs. Frank VanVleck of Long Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hargreaves and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Staines of Palo, Mr and Mrs Harold Compton of Plymouth, Mrs Patrick Beahan and son, Fred of Grand Rapids; Mr and Mrs Clay White of Greenville, Mr and Mrs Gordon Casselman of Detroit, Mrs Ella Quigley and Patrica of Muir, Mrs. Doris Steadman, Mrs. Oliver Braman, Mrs. Clare Galloway, Mrs Page Borden, Mrs Warren Klinesmith and Miss Bessie Peters of Palo.
