Ionia Sentinel-Standard – Mon. March 31, 1969

Funeral services for Delbert Elmer Vergeson, 48, will be Tuesday at 1:30 pm at 
Neller funeral home in Portland. Rev. Raymond Norton will officiate and burial 
will be at East Sebewa cemetery.

Mr. Vergeson, who lived at 125 Charlotte highway, Portland was born December 
19, 1920 in Lansing and died Saturday of a heart attack, according to Coroner 
Dale Kauffman.

He was self-employed at a service station in Portland.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; two brothers, Joseph of Greenville and 
Franklin of Haslett; five sisters, Mrs. Martha Pixley of Haslett, Mrs. Betty 
Walker of Onondago, Mrs. Anntionette Bishop of Lansing and Mrs. Leota Miller of 
Owosso.

Bearers will be Ralph white, Ronald Schalow, Charles Graham, Bub Ward, Tom Hart 
and Wayne Foote.
