The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, July 1, 1969

Word has been received of the death of Effie M. Vermilya at Clark Memorial 
home in Grand Rapids at the age of 83.  She was born January 21, 1886, married 
in 1906 to Bruce Vermilya, and resided in Indian River before moving to Ionia.

She was a member of the IHA mission and later a member of the United 
Evangelical Methodist church.  She moved to Muskegon in 1928 where she resided 
until entering Clark Memorial home three years ago.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Dorothea Stark of Muskegon, several 
grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at the Balbirnie funeral home in Muskegon Thursday at 
1 p.m.
