He was born May 22, 1925, the son of Emery and Mildred Seavolt Vermilya of Ionia. He attended the Ionia schools, and served with the United States Navy. He was employed at Downs Heating in Lansing. Previously he had been employed as a self employed plumber, by the State of Michigan, and at End Dairy Farms in Belding. Surviving are two sons, Danny of Colorado Springs and Stephen of Mulliken: two daughters, Nancy Svenson of Fort Lupton, Co. and Nadine Gee of Mulliken: and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother William, of Alta Loma, Calif.: one sister, Eula Curtis of Lake Odessa. Funeral services were Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte. Burial was in the Charlotte Cemetery.
