Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard – Mon. Sept. 16, 1963

Emil A. Vie, 67, of 709 West Ellis street, Belding died Sunday at Belding 
Community hospital after an illness of one year. 

He was born in Randers Denmark and had been a resident of Belding 43 years. He 
retired three years ago as an inspector at Gibson Refrigerator company.

He was a member of UAW-CIO and a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran church at 
Greenville.

Surviving are his wife, Ragnhild; two sons, Anker Vie of Belding, and Axel Vie 
of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren; and a brother, Valdemar of Grand Rapids.

Funeral service will be at 2 o’clock Tuesday at Greenville Mt. Calvary Lutheran 
church with the Rev. George Mahder officiating. Interment will be at Rest Haven 
Memory Gardens in Otisco township.

The body will be at Huffman funeral home in Belding until Tuesday noon.

Bearers will be Ralph, Ray, Thomas, Lennox, Richard Swartz, George King, 
Francis Rivard and Lee Luscomb
