Lake Odessa Wave, 28 Mar 1940

Heart Attack Fatal to Odessa Township Farmer

W. C. Vierk, 59, farmer living east of Bonanza corner, passed away March 14, at 
5 o’clock from a heart attack.  Mr. Vierk had been in poor health for the past 
few years.

He is survived by the widow Lillie, one son Clyde of Lake Odessa, one daughter 
Ethel Schelters of Orleans, two grandchildren, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held at the Wortley & Baine funeral home March 16, at 2 
o’clock with the Rev. E. H. Humphrey officiating.  Interment was in Lakeside 
cemetery.  Pall bearers were Royal Johnson, Frank Johnson, Fred Urtel, Fred 
Berndt, Ermal Garlinger and Fred Lindquist.
