He was born on July 27, 1939 in Detroit, the son of Jean Joseph and Edith Mae (Bradin) Vigneau, Sr.. Mr. Vigneau was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Portland Council #2168. Joe enjoyed golfing, harness racing, going to the casino and especially spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; siblings, Shirley Lee, Jean Vigneau and Phillip Vigneau. Surviving are his daughters, Terry (Gary) Hoppes and Julie (Nick) Lefke, both of Portland grandchildren, Kayla and Kyle Hoppes, and Madison and Kenadee Lefke; siblings, Edith (Joseph) Swain, Robert (Peggy) Vigneau, William (Gayle) Vigneau, Thomas Vigneau and Joan Vigneau. The Mass of Christian Liturgy was held Nov. 5, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Portland, with Deacon Don Sobolewski presiding. Rite of Committal followed at Portland Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Schrauben- Lehman Funeral Home, Portland.
