She was born April 30, 1910, in Mexico, the daughter of Felix and Guermercinda Esquival Favela, and attended schools in Mexico. She was married to Jose Villaneuva in 1936 in Mexico and they moved to the Lake Odessa area that year. She was member of St. Edward’s Church, Lake Odessa. Surviving are her husband; six sons and three daughters: Jaime Gonzales of Lansing; Enriquenta Martinez of Lansing, Luis Villaneuva of Vermontville; Carlos Villaneuva of Vermontville; Carlos Villaneuva of Lansing; Alex Villaneuva of Vermontville; Esther Madison of Ionia, Robert Villaneuva of Lansing, Maria Ainsworth of Lansing, and Artemio Villaneuva of Lake Odessa. Also surviving are a sister, Josefa Gonzales and a brother, Leonel Favela, both of Mexico, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Rosary will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa. Funeral mass will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Edward’s Catholic Church, Lake Odessa, with the Rev. Dennis Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Vermontville Cemetery.
