Ionia County News, 1 Nov 1923

Auto Injuries Fatal – Van Vincent, 17, Ronald township, died last week as the
result of injuries received in an automobile accident west on Broas’ hill.  With
Vincent in the car were Kenneth Hudnutt and Howard Phillips of St. Johns. 
Vincent was driving, when they met another car and Vincent’s car was thrown into
the ditch.  The machine turned over a couple of times and Vincent was hurt on
the shoulder and head.  He died a short time following.  He was the son of Mr.
and Mrs. H.H. Vincent, prominent residents of Ronald township, and besides the
parents leaves a sister, Miss Lorna Vincent, of Battle Creek.
