The Belding Banner, Thursday, December 12, 1963


George Vlahas, aged 75 years, died Saturday morning at the Belding Community 
Hospital.  He is survived by two brothers, Chris of Belding and Thomas in 
Greece; a sister, Mrs. Jenny Serpanos in Los Angeles; several nieces and 
nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Ellis-Danol Funeral Home.  Fr. P. 
Grefakis of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Grand Rapids officiated.  Pall 
bearers were Ted Vlahas, Stanley Terry, Howard Wright, William Morris, Joseph 
Pendrick and George Delyanides.  Burial was in River Ridge cemetery.
