The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 9, 1967
Thelma Pratt Vliet of Alma, former resident of Saranac, died suddenly Friday.  
Mrs. Vliet was born in Saranac and graduated from Saranac public schools.  Her 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Pratt, a brother, Clare Pratt, and her husband, 
Stanley all preceded her in death.

Surviving are four children, Gordon Vliet of Williamsburg, Va., Ruth Vliet, a 
student at Westminster college, Fulton, Mo., Cheryl Vliet, a student at Ferris 
State college and Ronald Vliet at home; a sister, Mrs. Ethelyn Watts of Palm 
beach, Fla.

Funeral services will be held January 9 at Presbyterian church in Alma with 
burial in Riverside cemetery, Alma.
