Voelker, 90, of Ionia, died Monday at her home. Born Aug. 14, 1898, in Ionia County, she was the daughter of Frank and Bertha Rosenfelder. She was graduated from Belding High School and Ferris State University, and was employed for many years by Ionia County National Bank. She was married to Russell Voelker; he died Oct. 13, 1958. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ionia, and a life member and Past Matron of Queen Esther Chapter, No. 35, Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia Ann Donnell of Houston, Texas, and Virginia Kay Pogainis of Minneapolis, Minn.; four grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Peabody of Ionia; and one brother-in-law, Clarence Johnson of Ionia. A sister, Vernice Johnson, preceded her in death in 1980. Complete funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the Cook Funeral Home, with the Rev. Keith Bovee officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials have been established for First United Methodist Church’s Memorial Fund and Queen Esther Chapter, No. 35, O.E.S., in care of the funeral home.
