Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Leddick Funeral Home for 
Josephine C. Vogt, 75, of 483 E. North Street, who died Wednesday at St. Johns 
Hospital in Detroit.  The Rev. Nolan Williams of the Zion United Methodist 
Church will officiate.

Mrs. Vogt was born April 5, 1905 in Deer Creek, Ill., the daughter of John 
Phillips and Edith Chaffer Phillips.  She moved to Byron, Ohio in 1917 and 
graduated from Byron High School in 1924.  She was married to Harry Vogt of 
Ionia in Byron on Dec. 15, 1934.  They moved to the Ionia area in 1939.  Her 
husband died March 28, 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Phillip of Royal Oak, Norman of Utica; Mrs. Myrna 
Diaz of Ionia; a sister, Kathryn Fitzcharles of Byron, Ohio; a step-son John 
Roscoe Phillips of Berrien Springs; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home Friday from 
2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 
American Cancer Society.
