                            G. BERNARD VOGT

IONIA-G.Bernard Vogt, 82, of Ionia died Thursday.

He was born June 26,1907, in Holland, the son of George and Olga Vogt.

He was graduated from ionia High School in 1927 and worked as social worker for 
the Ionia County Bureau of Social Aid, now the Department of Social Services.

He was a member of the SS.Peter & Paul's Church and a  former member of the 
Elks.He worked from 1978 to 1986 at Lincoln Development Center and served on the 
board of Foster Grandparents Program of Kent County.

Surviving are a son, Matthew, of Ionia; a grandson, Benjamin, of Ionia; two 
brothers, George of Cascade and Verner of Okemos, a sister, Christal Olmsted of 
Saranac; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass at St.John's the Baptist Church in Hubbardston, with the Rev. 
William Ritz as celebrant.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will be at Cook Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m and 7 to 8:30 
p.m.
