Joseph J. Vojtech, 69, of Woodland, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1994, at the 
TenderCare Nursing Home in Hastings.  He was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Chicago, 
Ill, the son of Joseph and Anna Marie Vojtech.  He attended school in Illinois.

He married Anna Belle Leak May 18, 1946, in Midlotian, Ill.  They moved to the 
Lake Odessa area in 1960.  Mr. Vojtech served in the U.S. Navy for three years 
during World War II.  He was employed at T.R.W. Manufacturing Co. in Portland 
for 20 years, retiring in 1984.  He was a member of the St. Edwards Catholic 
Church of Lake Odessa and the Portland VFW #4090.

Surviving are his wife Anna Belle; three sons, Larry Vojtech of Garden Grove, 
Calif., Robert Vojtech of Holt, Joseph Vojtech Jr. of Sunfield; one daughter, 
Joanne (Eric) Send of Middleville; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Emily 
Sharp of Tinley Park, Ill., and Anita Pitt of Oak Forest, Ill.

Visitation will be Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Home in Lake 
Odessa.  Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Edwards Catholic 
Church in Lake Odessa.  Father Thomas Boufford will officiate.  Interment is at 
Woodland Memorial Park.  Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Friday at the St. 
Edwards Catholic Church in Lake Odessa.  In lieu of flowers memorial 
contributions can be made to the building fund of the St. Edwards Church.
