ROMAYNE A.VOLK

PORTLAND - Romayne Volk, 88 of Portland,MI, passed away May 13, 2021. She was 
born September 7, 1932 at the home of her grandmother in Manistique, Michigan, 
daughter of Phillip and Bertha (Langlois) Bouchard. Romayne came to the Lansing 
area to attend Michigan State College and St. Lawrence School of Nursing in the 
early 1950's where she met and married the love of her life Lynn Volk. She 
became part of his family, living  next door to his siblings near Eagle, 
Michigan for most of her life. Romayne was a home maker, former real estate 
agent ad retired from Michigan State University working in plant biology. 
Romayne enjoyed reading, quilting ad travel.

Romayne is survived by daughter Sandra Hoffman; sons Leon (Carole) Volk and 
Brian Volk; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren snd several nieces and 
nephews with whom she was close.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lynn, an infant daughter Valerie, her 
parents, her brothers and sisters, in-laws and close nephew Richard Price.

A graveside service will be held at North Eagle Cemetery on Friday, May 28 at 11 
a.m. officiated by Rev. Dr.Marilyn Danielson. In lieu of flowers contributions 
can be made in loving memory to the North Eagle cemetery. The family has 
entrusted arrangements to Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge. Online
