Long Illness Claims Mrs. Opal Vroman

Mrs. Opal Vroman, 58, of Woodland, passed away Wednesday evening at Pennock 
Hospital, where she was hospitalized six weeks.

She was born in Woodland Township, the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Sparks) 
Sease, Aug. 4, 1911.

She married Joseph A. Vroman of Lansing Nov. 2, 1930, and they moved to Woodland 
in 1939.

Surviving are her husband; three sons, Joseph Jr. of Lake Odessa, Gilbert of 
Saranac and Keith of Woodland; two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Margaret) Wagner of 
Detroit and Mrs. Alvin (Martha June) Pitts of Livonia; 21 grandchildren, three 
great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Violet Smith, Lake Odessa.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pickens Funeral Chapel. 
Rev. Olav Labianca officiated, with burial in Woodland Memorial Park.
