The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 5, 1976
Ralph L. VunCannon, 49, of Hubbardston, died unexpectedly Sunday at the Carson 
City hospital.  Born June 5, 1926 in Flint, he was the son of Lewis and Fern 
VunCannon.  He was owner of the Pro gas station at Hubbardston and had lived 
in the Hubbardston area the past 11 years.  He was a veteran of World War II 
serving with the navy.

Among his survivors are his wife, Bertha, daughter Dorothy at home; stepson 
David Mangus of Lowell; one granddaughter; two brothers, Raymond of Belding 
and Jack of Pontiac.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Burns-Schnepp funeral home at 
Carson City.  Elder Lyle Bauman of Greenville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter 
Day Saints will officiated and interment will be at the West Side cemetery, 
Hubbardston.

Bearers will be Don Bradshaw, Jerry Fields, Charles Robinson, Charles 
Cunningham, Pat Cunningham and Jack Cunningham.
