Mrs. Catherine Wacha Passed Away Monday

Mrs. Catherine I. Carten Wacha, 83, died Tuesday at her home in Orleans where
she had lived 52 years.  She was born in Bradford, Canada, moved to Grattan at
age of two, and to Belding when 17.  She married Joseph Wacha 60 years ago and
he died in 1927.

Survivors are five sons, Joseph, Hugh and Lawrence at home, John, Belding and
Thomas, Lake Odessa, three daughters, Sister Mary Mathew O.P., Marywood, Grand
Rapids, Mrs. Alice Christian, Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Geraldine Gee, Muir, nine
grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

The body of Mrs. Wacha is resting at her home where the Rosary will be recited
Thursday at 7:30.  Funeral services will be at 9:00 o’clock Friday morning at SS
Peter and Paul church in Ionia, interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery in Ionia.
