          LAST RITES FOR THOMAS WACHA
   Thomas A Wacha, 71, passed away Monday afternoon at Pennock Hospital, Hastings
where he was 
hospitalized two weeks following an extend illness.
   He was born April 10, 1903 in Orleans township, Ionia County, the son of Joseph
and Catherine (Carten) 
Wacha.  He married Evelyn M. Daniels, August 25, 1932 in Ionia and has been a
resident of Lake Odessa for 
the past 40 years.  Mr. Wacha was a member of St. Edwards Church of Lake Odessa and
a retired employee 
of the Lake Odessa Canning Company.
   Surviving are his wife: a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Dorene) Collins of Lake Odessa two
sons, Daniel of Lowell and 
Thomas J. of Sunfield; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Geraldine) Gee
of Muir and Mrs. Leonard 
(Alice) Christian of Wyoming; and three brothers, John of Belding Lawrence and Hugh
both of Orleans.
   Funeral services were held Thursday (today) at ten o'clock at St. Edward Church. 
Father Raymond Sonefeld 
of the St. Rose of Lima Church of Hastings officiated with burial in the Lakeside
Cemetery.
   The Bible Rosary was recited at 8:15 Wednesday evening at the Pickens-Koops
Funeral Chapel where he 
reposed.
