The many friends inLake Odessa of the Leonard Wachter family of Woodland township sympathize with them in their recent bereavement. On Monday of last week a blood vessel bursted in the neck which caused cerebral hemorrhages that resulted in his death on Wednesday. The funeral was held at the home one and one-half miles east of Woodland, Saturday afternoon, and burial was Lakeside cemetery, Lake Odessa. Mr. Wachter was a resident of Lake Odessa for many years. He married a Lake Odessa girl Miss Rose Garlinger. They moved to Woodland where he was active in the affairs of Woodland village. He was a trustee of the Methodist church there, also a member of the Knight of Pythias and the Grange. He leaves the wife, a son Carl and a daughter, Frances, two sisters Mrs.Minnie Garlinger of Kent City, but until recently of this village, Mrs.Anna Harberstumph of Ionia, and a brother George Wachter.
