Lake Odessa Wave-Times December 6, 1912

"FOR OF SUCH IS THE KINDOM OF HEAVEN"

Bethel Leonard Wachter was born in Lake Odessa June 30, 1908 and died Wednesday 
evening Nov. 27,1912 after a brief illness. He leaves to mourn their loss a 
father and mother, many relatives and many friends. When one year of age he with 
others was baptized and received into the Congregational Sunday school and one 
of his greatest delights was "to go to Sunday school. Being an exceptional 
bright, active and lovable child he won a host of friends and the heart prayer 
of a broken hearted father and mother is beautifully voiced in these words.

Oh Father! Wheresoever he may be
Whither amid the storm spheres above
Or in some world no human eye can see
Guard and surround him with thy love.
We ask that the streets be shining gold
Through which his young and tender feet shall stray
But that within a safe and quiet fold
Our little one-our lamb-may stay-

We wish  to thank the members of the K of P Ladies of the Maccabee, members of 
the Fire Department, Choir of the Congregational Church also friends and 
neighbors for the kindness shown s and the many beautiful flowers given during 
our recent bereavement in the death of our little darling Bethel.
