Farm Tues. Taken Ill at Waite Inn of Heart Trouble. Worked with R.A. Walter. Funeral Today. William Lafayette Wade who has been making his home for the past six months at the Waite Inn was taken ill about a month ago with heart trouble. For two weeks he was cared for by Mrs. Waite and Mrs. and Mrs. R. A. Walter with whom he had been working. Then he was taken to the hospital at the county farm where he died Tuesday evening. Mr. Wade’s mother who is 84 years of age and lives in Chicago was brought by friends Sunday to Ionia that she might see her son. The body was brought to Lake Odessa by Wortley & Baine, undertakers, and the funeral will be held at the Waite Inn this afternoon (Thursday), Rev. Leon W. Manning will officiate and burial will be at Lakeside cemetery. Rev. E. H. Humphrey assisting minister. Mr. Wade was unmarried and had no home. He was a newspaper advertising agent and had been working with R. A. Walter, who also makes his home at the Waite Inn for the last six months. They had worked independently for The Wave-Times and several other papers in this vicinity. Mr. Wade had worked for the Chicago Tribune, of which city he was a native.
