The Ionia Daily Standard, Saturday, September 7, 1901


The funeral services were held this afternoon over the remains of D. G. Wade of 
Crystal, at the home of his son, George Wade, on Hackett street.  Mr. Wade was 
in Ionia on Friday, Maccabee day, and conducted a candy stand on the street.  
He left the next day with the intention of coming back again on Wednesday, but 
was overtaken on the way, and died at Hubbardston.  The cause was heart 
disease.  Interment was in oak hill.
