                   Former Ionia Resident, Now of Mecosta, Dead

V. E. Wager, for the past 40 years a resident of Mecosta, and formerly a 
resident of Ionia county, passed away at his home there Thursday morning at 
the age of 77 years. Mr. Wager had been postmaster there for over 30 years.

He is survived by his widow. Miss Addie Snyder of this city is a niece and 
A.L. Snyder is a nephew. The funeral will be held from the late home Sunday 
morning at 8 o'clock. The body will be brought to the Lakeside cemetery at 
Lake Odessa. The funeral party  will pass through Ionia about noon Sunday 
and will arrive at the cemetery at 1 o'clock.
