Donald D. Wagner, 76, of Ionia passed away Mon., July 8, 2002.

He was born on Jan. 25, 1926 in Sturgis, the son of William and Emma (Canfield) 
Wagner.  Mr. Wagner worked for Ionia Public Schools in maintenance before 
retiring in 1987.  He was a member of Shiloh Community Church.  After his 
retirement, he enjoyed traveling with his daughter and son-in-law with the 
carnival owning his own concessions.  He enjoyed watching sports, snowmobiling, 
motorcycles and reading the newspaper.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Joyce in 1988.

Surviving are his children, Barbara (Thomas) Todd of Ionia, Beverly (Doug) 
Clark of Ionia, Mary Bensinger of Ionia, William “Bill” (Becky) Wagner of Ionia 
and Robert (Marilyn) Wagner of Malvern, Ark.; grandchildren, Trisha (Eric) 
Carter, Jon (special friend, Jill Zimmerman) Todd, Laurie Clark, Michelle 
Bensinger, Melissa Bensinger, Staci, Stephanie, and Amy Wagner; great-
granddaughter, Caroline Carter; sister, Ann (Robert) Arnold of Kalamazoo; and 
brother, James Wagner of Kalamazoo.

The funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Harger, Pastor at 1 
p.m., Thursday at Shiloh community Church, 8197 Heth St., Orleans.  Following 
the luncheon, interment will take place in Burr Oak Cemetery, Burr Oak.  The 
family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 
Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home, Rich Street Chapel.  For those desiring, 
memorial contributions may be made to the Shiloh Community Church, in memory of 
Donald D. Wagner.
