She was born in Albion on Nov. 17, 1920, to L.C. and Emma Behling Howard. Her greatest joy was her family. She will be dearly remembered for her kindness, gentle nature and graciousness. Mrs. Wagner graduated from Concord High School and Albion College, where she majored in elementary education. Mrs. Wagner was a long-standing member of the First Congregational Church, where she was an active volunteer for many years. She also belonged to the Kate Shannon Guild, Ladies Literary Club, and Thimble Club. She is survived by her loving children, Sue and Fred Eyer of Grand Rapids, Patricia and Stuart Domeshek of Fort Collins, Colo., Bruce Wagner of Lincoln Park; grandchildren, Kelley and Brian Place, Kevin and Jennifer Eyer, Erin Hotchkiss, Christina Hotchkiss; great-grandchildren, Kyra Mellema, Collin and Aaron Place, Annabelle Eyer; her sister-in-law, Martha Ann Reid; several nieces and nephews. According to Mrs. Wagner’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service is 1 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with the Rev. William Freeman officiating. Interment is in River Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to the Hospice of Michigan or First Congregational Church will be appreciated.
