  Excerpts from Ionia Obituary

   BECKY SUE WAGNER

Died September 7, 2025-age 66 of Ionia battling ovarian cancer.
Born December 24, 1958, daughter of Ron & Beverly (Helderop)Johnston.
At Ionia High School Becky began working for Carr Agency their Co-op program.
She worked there for 20 years before starting the All Seasons Insurance Agency 
in Carson City with a dear friend Carmen Schafer in 1996 for 29 years.
In 1992 she was the co-chair for the development of Fun Forest Park (McConnell 
Park) in Ionia.
She received Ionia COunty's Business of the Year Award for her leadership as a 
woman's entrepreneur.
She sat on the board of directors of the Ionia Chamber of Commerce, served on 
the City Council, participating in Business of Professional Women Club & Ionia 
Innovators.
Her outreach brought recognition from the State of Michigan through a special 
tribute in 2018.
She said her greatest accomplishment was raising her daughters with love & joy.
She was a loyal servant to God, the spirit poured through her music as she 
played for elementary school programs, Christmas parades, weddings, funerals, 
Green Acres, church services at Shiloh Community church,& recently at Lemmon-
Holden Cancer Pavilion.
She was a worship leader for Zion United Methodist & Revival Church in Ionia.
Preceded in death by her parents, Ron & Bev Johnston, her former husband Bill 
Wagner, grandparents, Aunts & Uncles.
Survived by loving family members, including Staci (Dinos)Chamalis of 
Thessaloniki, Greece; Stephanie wagner of Ionia,Granddaughters Lidia Sue & 
Eliana Beverly; Grand dogs Zoe Grace & Stetson Levi; Siblings Ron (Laura) 
Johnston, Chris (Rod) Galloway, Greg (Karen) Johnston; Aunt Helderop, many 
nephews & nieces & cousins.
Visitation on Thursday September 11, from 4-7PM & on Friday September 12, from 
5-8PM at Lake Funeral Home Ionia, 3521 S. State Rd, Ionia,MI.    
Celebration of Life service on Saturday, September 13 at 11AM at Revival Church, 
345 E.Lincoln Ave,Ionia,MI.
Live streaming will be available for friends & family & out of state through the 
Revival Facebook page.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ionia Community Awareness (in 
memory of Becky Wagner) & or a Fun Fund for Grammie's grand girlies that will be 
used for activities & presents.
