She was born in Greenville on October 19, 1946. Carol graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1964 and attended Davenport College for one year. She worked at the State Police Post in Lakeview, at Jorgensen’s Super Market and Hill’s Market in Greenville and later at Wolverine in Rockford. Carol lived in the Belding and Greenville areas all her life. She had suffered patiently with Crohn’s disease for 25 years. Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Bobbie Howe, in 1949 and her father, Robert Howe, in 1990. Carol is survived by her mother, Ruth Howe of Belding,; her children, Tamara Rae Miller of White Oak, Texas, Brian Keith Hansen of Belding; grandchildren, Tasha, Cody, Stormee, Tanea, Emilee; two brothers, Daniel and Artie Miller of Sheridan, Terry Caniff of New York; and her best friend Gayle Christiansen of Belding. Funeral services are noon Tuesday at Johnson Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding, with Pastors Connie Shatz and Ken Harger officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America or the North Shore Animal League.
