The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, June 1, 1937

Final services for George Waidelich, former Ionia contractor, who died in 
Chicago where he had been living for a number of years, were held from the 
Boynton funeral chapel in Ionia Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock.

Rev. R. A. Rook, pastor of the St. John’s Lutheran church of Ionia officiated 
and interment was at the Highland Park cemetery.  Pall bearers were Albert 
Harley of Woodard lake; Gotlieb Weeh of Ionia, Claude Herring of Grand Rapids, 
Joseph Waidelich of Orleans.  Relatives from away attending the services were 
Mrs. Wesley Newcomb of Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Herring of Grand Rapids, 
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Harley of Woodard Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Waidelich 
of Orleans.
