On Thursday of the week previous to his death he slipped on the ice and fell, but did not complain about it until after he took to his bed in his final sickness, and this, together with other complications, resulted in his death after but two days’ sickness. Samuel Wainwright was a native of Duchess county, N.Y., but came to the farm in Danby where he died, from Indiana in 1864 and has resided there continuously ever since—a period of 36 years, and which had been improved until it was one of the pleasantest farm homes in the township. Beside a widow deceased leaves three children, Mrs. Charles Conkrite, Sebewa, James and Joseph, Danby. He was a thoroughly honorable, upright man and a good citizen. Funeral services were conducted from the late home of the deceased on Sunday last by Rev. D. W. Millard.
