Helen L. Wait, 100, formerly of Lake Odessa was called home on Feb. 12, 2013 at 
the Thornapple Manor in Hastings.

Helen was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Valley United Brethren Church where 
she played the piano for many years along with being the treasurer. She 
participated in the Women’s Missionary Association, WCTU and taught Sunday 
School.

Helen is survived by her two children Kathy (Mike) Scobey, Larry (Joyce) Wait; 
grandsons Tim (Nancy) Scobey, Paul (Heather) Scobey, Matt (Tiffany) Scobey, 
John (Claire) Wait, Daniel (Robin) Wait; 11 great grandchildren; and one 
sister, Virginia Yonkers.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Wait, parents, Clare (Ruth) 
Goodsell.

Visitation for Helen will be held at the Koops Funeral Chapel 935 4th Ave., 
Lake Odessa, Mich., on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. also at the 
Pleasant Valley United Brethren Church from 10 a.m. until time of service. 
Funeral services will be held at the Pleasant Valley United Brethren Church 
13120 Bell Road, Lake Odessa, MI 48849 on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 11 a.m.

Donations can be made in Helen’s name to the Pleasant Valley United Brethren 
Church.
