Ionia County News - Thursday, Jan. 19, 1950

William C. Waite, 28, died Monday afternoon at United Memorial Hospital, 
Greenville. He had been ill since April 1949 and had been a patient of Ann 
Arbor and Grand Rapids hospital, entering the Greenville hospital. 

Mr. Waite was born in Belding, March 1, 1922. Until December 1945, in the 
U.S. Army and was  a Master sergeant: at the time of his discharge. He 
graduated from Belding High School in 1939 and on March 6, 1946 married Miss 
Dorothy (????) of Greenville and Belding.

Surviving besides his wife are a two-year-old daughter, Nancy Ann: his 
parents and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Cora Skellenger, all of Belding and a 
brother, Robert E. Waite, of Lansing.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist Church. 
Rev. Lester Clough, pastor of the church will officiate and burial will be 
in River Ridge Cemetery. The American Legion will have charge of services at 
the grave.

Business associates who will served as pallbearers are Richard Geerling, 
Everett R. Rayborn, Donald B. Rayburn, Ronald Parks, Claude Buckingham and 
William Luker.
