Mrs. Bessie Wakley Dies Thursday Morning at Lansing Hospital
Mrs. Bessie Wakley, 64, died at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, early this (Thursday) 
morning. She had been in poor health for some time, but seriously ill only since 
Monday, when she was taken to the hospital. Born in Portland, Mrs. Wakley was the 
daughter of the late, Frank Adams. Her husband, Wright Wakley, died suddenly five 
years ago. One daughter, Mrs. Howard Lowry survives.  
Funeral services had not been arranged when the Review and Observer went to press 
this morning.

Her daughter was Minnie Wakley Lowry.
Burial made in the Portland Cemetery.
